Her mommy has had her shaved down from her original fluff because she goes to the desert most weekends for vacation. She is fully housebroken and loves car rides. She knows how to walk on a leash and does several tricks. She gets along well with other dogs but needs to be fed separately from them as she will steal food and growl. She weighs about 12 pounds and is very active. She is a 3 year old Red Sable Female pomeranian. We will miss you Ty but are so glad that you have found the perfect home for you! Ty immediately became friends with Candy and they romp happily through their home. When they first met Ty they had no idea that they would bee going home with their new son that day. Candy is a chihuahua whose parents thought she could use a playmate. Now he has a loving playmate named Candy. He had lost 1.5 pounds while with us which brought him to a much more normal weight. After having all but one tooth removed he became much more calm and happy. Ty came to us from an LA kill shelter and was scared to death of people touching his mouth. Ty is a 12 year old male (neutered) pomeranian. This was the hard part, as immediately after placing him up for adoption he was re-homed. After a lot of hard work and patience Jacqueline was able to get Niko to stop biting people and to walk on a leash. He would not let anyone near him at first, however one of our volunteers was able to win him over and fostered him for a few months. When Niko first came to us he was abandoned by his owner because she could no longer care for him. Was adopted in Aug 2008 by a lovely couple in Fullerton, CA. Feel free to browse our happy tails to learn more. Due to confidentiality we will not disclose more than the city of residence and the pommie's name. If the owner chooses to submit photos of the adopted dog post adoption we will update the images here to include the new happy tail photos. I will learn that humans can almost, sometimes, be as kind and as fair as dogs.Īfter adoption we will place all of our rescued pommies on this page. My life is a responsibility, and not an afterthought. I will never be cast out because I am too old, too ill, too unruly, or not cute enough. No matter what I look like, I will be considered beautiful and thought to be of value. Knowing that, no matter what they do, they do it for the good of me. I can trust arms that hold, hands that touch. If I do not learn my lessons well, they will look to my teacher for blame. I will be taught all the things I need to know to be loved by all. I will never suffer for someone's anger, impatience, or stupidity. I will be loved because I am who I am, not someone's idea of who I should be. I will never be used to improve peoples' images of themselves. I will never be a substitute for anything I am not. My name will be used in joy, and I will love the sound of it! I will be given a name so that I may know who I am among many. I will be talked to and, even if I don't understand, There will be an effort to communicate with me on my level. My fur will shine, and never be dirty or matted. I will feel the sun's heat, and the rain's coolness,Īnd be allowed to smell all that can reach my nose. I will not shiver in the cold, or grow weary from the heat. I will never know hunger, or the fear of not knowing if I'll eat. I can sleep soundly, assured that when I wake my world will not have changed. I will never know the loneliness I hear in the barks of the other dogs 'out there'. We can't thank the owners of these dogs enough for the compassion and love they have shown in adopting these needy pommies. Many of these dogs were abandoned or left at shelters. These pommies are now safely in permanent homes with loving families. ![]()
